Since my Sockday...

I'm told no one wants to post a new blog entry, since doing so would move the lovely orange hat picture of me down the screen...so I guess I'll have to do the dirty work...

I thought I'd fill you in on my not-quite-as-fun-as-new-socks experiences in the week or so since my Sockday Party...

Last Wednesday, some teens lost control of their car while driving into my neighborhood, and took out my mailbox...here it is, replanted...
They also drove into my driveway and really, really messed up Godfrey, the car I've had for less than a month...
We're still waiting to hear what their insurance is going to do for us.

Then this morning, a school bus accident messed up Curtis, the boy I've had for almost 15 years...we're on our way to the doctor to see how messed up he is, but we think it's nothing serious...

I hope Curtis will be okay. Sorry to hear about your car as well.
Maybe some yarn therapy is in order today.

Geez! You have had a rough week or so! Is the boy child okay? Looks like you will be needing those socks to comfort you.

1. My car has been proclaimed a total loss. We are waiting to get a rental, which we really need, since Joe teaches in Crawfordsville one night a week.

2. The bus was hit by another car at an intersection. The first call I got at 8:15 said he was fine, then the nurse called later to say he had neck pain. He's been x-rayed and is wearing a funny collar (lots of "don't lick your stitches" jokes), but I think he's fine. He was pretty mobile trying to catch the ramen noodles off his chopsticks today...

3. I don't know if you heard this, but the Huskers totally won Saturday.

Sorry, Narcissa Skrewt is my HSS2 account name.

I'm glad Curtis is okay and hope he gets the brace off soon!

ACK! What a week you've had! Glad to hear Curtis is doing okay. Hopefully you'll be well reimbursed for your car.
